My goodness! It has been some time since I have been on insta! I’ve been planning my sisters reception party and it has been crazy! But I’m back! Comin in hot! Anywayssssssss here I am. Fresh out of surgery maybe 3mo post op. Absolutely hating life. Piccline in- no food by mouth. Hooked to a machine 24 hours a day. The lipids caused some liver problems so the lipids had to be taken out so I was just on the nutritional bag. It was a hard time. But over time and a couple surgeries later, I was better. Not 100%, I still had some hurdles to jump over but I got there. I guess that that’s where the lesson is. That’s where you learn what not to do again. I heard loud and clear and I’m never going back! Happy Sunday beauties!!!

In order to lose 1lb of fat a week you must create a deficit of approximately 3,500 calories. 3,500 calories divided by 7 equals a daily calorie deficit of 500. It’s easiest to create this deficit by tracking your food and only eating x amount of calories a day. Most of the time you won’t burn enough calories through exercise to create the deficit needed if you are overconsuming on calories. .
For example if you are eating an average of 2,500 calories a day and in order to be eating in a calorie deficit you need to be eating 1,800 calories
.
So you are eating 700 calories over your calorie deficit. So now we do a little math
.
2,500 daily calories which is 17,500 calories weekly .
1,800 daily calories needed to create a deficit which is 12,600 calories weekly
.
17,500-12,600= 4,900 extra calories you are eating each week
.
So in order to create the deficit to lose 1lb of fat each week you would need to burn 4,900 calories from exercise
.
This would mean you would need to burn 700 calories daily from exercise to create a big enough deficit
.
Most of us don’t have the time or energy to spend a couple of hours a day burning 700 calories from exercise. Your body can only recover from so much exercise each week. .
The calories you burn while working out are on top of the deficit created by your food which will create a bigger deficit (you lose more each week)

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!🌟 This weekend was very challenging for me. I didn’t eat the healthiest and really lacked motivation to do anything productive. When I slip up — even on something small — I get a deep sense of discouragement that can easily disturb my weight loss. I have to constantly reassure myself that I will make mistakes! It is NOT about being perfect; it’s about making better choices day after day that will eventually result in a healthier life!
It’s so easy to become obsessed with doing everything “perfectly,” but there is no perfect way to this. Each person is different. Each person will look, feel, & can have completely different experienced while on this journey. To me; as long as we are striving each day to make better choices than the day before, that’s doing enough!
This journey is all about the progress our body & mind makes over TIME. It’s tedious, but WORTH IT. 🌟🌟 So proud of anyone taking the steps to change their life because it’s so much harder than how it looks on the surface.

Where do I begin... for a few months now I have been under a lot of stress which in turn has caused me to gain weight. I looked into ways I could shed this weight and reduce some of my stress, so I started walking then bus then walking to work lol and also started drinking keto smoothies. These pants are 8P and yes, stretch and that's a long way from maxing out 18's but I just wanted to lose like 10 lbs per mo. The 29th will be 7 mo and been holding strong to 50-52 lbs loss over past 2 months. I don't exercise regularly as I should but I do think I'm gaining muscle and maybe that's why the scale isn't moving much, huh?
Also, I'm wondering if the extended fasting is having a negative effect on me.
I know everything doesn't work the same for everyone. So, I'm going lighten up a bit on IF and try to be more active.
Overall I just want to be healthier & happier but I'd also like to get under 150 lbs.

Tonight we had beef, chicken AND pork and it was AMAZING!!! After losing 130 pounds, it’s been hard watching my weight rise throughout my pregnancy. I am 8 months pregnant & have gained 30 pounds.... but that’s okay. Stadium Stomp 2019 🖤💚🖤
Today I completed my first ever stadium stomp.
Full course, 7600 stairs.
I’m pretty sure I left my hips on the course somewhere.
About half way through I flicked to auto pilot and said to myself “just keep moving Parissa”
Proud to say I smashed it out in under an hour and a half. (1hr 19m)
Start time: 12:34
Finish time: 13:53
Such a great and well organised event.
Great cause and great atmosphere.
Will be back next year that’s for sure.

Q. Why did I chose to get fit and healthy?
A. That little girl right there. My princess. My rock. My saviour.
I was never one who had to worry about food or exercise. I was a smoker, ate what ever I wanted, when ever I wanted. I was far from healthy, but I was always skinny.
I put on 30kgs + with my pregnancy and everyone always said it’ll just fall off.
My reality was in the left photo.. it didn’t fall off!
At Olivia’s first birthday I was 20kgs heavier then I had ever been in my life. I hated looking at myself. I rarely took photos because I didn’t know who that person was.
I couldn’t walk up the stairs at home without being puffed out, let alone walk my dog without needing a break.
After her first birthday and looking at myself in those photos and crying I made the decision to change.
To change my lifestyle, not only for my own health and well-being, but for Olivia!
I wanted her to have a fit and healthy mummy who can run around and chase her all day long.
Who would go on adventures with her and not run out of breath.
To have a mummy she can be proud of and not one to hide away when she finally goes to school.
I wanted to be the best I could be for my little princess!
So with a bit of time, patience, persistence and positivity I dropped that weight.
I became healthier, fitter and stronger.
Stronger physically & stronger mentally.
I am beyond happy with my progress. It’s a slow and long journey but one I am choosing to enjoy every step of the way.
A journey where both Olivia and I can enjoy activities and adventures together.
Not to mention the amazing people we have met along the way who have become like family to us!
They have motivated, encouraged and supported me along the way.
There’s no end goal, anything is possible.
And I am beyond proud of what I have achieved so far 🖤
