It was an honour to attend the 19th Annual ‘Do It For Dad’s Walk Run’ at the #CanadaGamesCentre in support of #ProstateCancerCanada.Over 100 people joined to walk, run and donate funds to the organization. I was joined by Deputy Mayor, Tony Mancini to deliver some words of encouragement and statistics to the crowd.
It is said that the disease will impact 1 in 7 Canadian men and their families.
It has been 25 years since prostate cancer was discovered. Today, the mortality rate has decreased by half.
The event was a great way to show our love for the fathers in our lives and to help a great cause.
I encourage everyone to participate next year.
Happy Father’s Day!

Again, not finance related but I figured I’d share some pictures I found while over at my grandma’s last weekend.
My grandpa worked for the Russian navy and my grandma was a nurse on his boat. On the first picture, you can see them with my dad.
The last two pictures bring me so much joy. My grandpa is holding our cat, that we brought to Canada when we came here from Russia. He was a total asshole to everyone except him, my dad and I. Guess we now know where my love for cats comes from.
My grandparents are my rock. They shower me with unconditional love and are always happy to talk to me.
My grandpa was diagnosed with stage 3 bladder and prostate cancer at age 65. He has undergone chemotherapy and tomorrow, he’s going in a six hour surgery for bladder and prostate removal.
Whatever you believe in, please keep him in your thoughts. ❤️
