I started training at the age of 15, that was more than 5 years ago. I remember how my parents had to force me to look for a new sport after I lost interest in martial arts after 7 years. At that time I wanted to do a sport where I am independent of training times, which I can only do if I want to take time for it. That was certainly the best decision I could make from a sporting point of view and I have never regretted it. Today it is not just a sport for me, it is so deeply integrated in my life, in my everyday life, in my head, that I could no longer imagine not doing it anymore.
In school I was always smiled at at the beginning, because I felt like a Hulk at the first successes and probably acted like one, but today they ask me how I made it this far. I was never the sporty type, or the party person or belonged to the cool of my class, but that had never interested me. I myself was my only focus.
Never give up.
Never stop.
Work on yourself.
Get better.

Yesterday night's Lower Body session was fire. Not only have I developed the mobility to properly deep Squat high Bar but I was also able to break an easy PR on the Speed Deadlift with 365 lbs x 3 reps. -

So prep for British Finals within #BDFPA is done. All I had was 5 weeks but I think I did a great job at regaining some of my old strength back, was out for about 6-7 months due to injury but I'll give it my best on the day. Not expecting anything and going in just to be back on the platform and have fun. It's been a bumpy ride so far but I'm excited for the future. This never ending process of getting better always gets me fired up.
Did openers on squat, 200 kg and 140 bench. Was good to see @aresapstrengthandphysique again today, she did ok, got a PB but good have done better lol.

A lot of people don't like to squat cuz it hurts their knees or back etc. Things too look at is: I'm not locking my knees therefore the weight isn't being loaded onto them, I'm making sure my upper half is strong and stable. Hello beautiful people 🥰✨ I just wanted to give y’all a personal update on how I’ve been lately. I’ve officially reached the point where I’m grinding super hard with program sessions coming out to 2-2.5 hours and I’ll admit, I am drained.

I feel like I’m frustrated with myself easier, and I notice mistakes easier, and I want quick fixes, but I know it can’t happen like that all the time. I honestly need to tell myself, girl, please just sit down and calm down, it’s gonna be okay 🤧

So I’m honestly taking the time to remind myself that progress is progress. I am trying. And at the end of the day, as long as I’m giving it my all, I am fine. I just needed a reset button on my current state of motivation. But today is a new day, and I’m ready 💙
